ABOUT TULUM ATV RENTALS
We are the premiere ATV rental company in Tulum. However, don’t take our word for it. You can get to know us via this website, our YouTube videos, or through the reviews from previous customers. Here are a few things to know about us:
BEST PRICES
We offer the cheapest prices in all of Tulum. Because we operate exclusively online, we don’t have the overhead of a traditional brick-and-mortar store. This allows us to pass on savings to customers who would normally be charged more due to our competitors having to pay expensive location leasing fees. We are the only ATV rental outfit in Tulum that accepts reservations online. Super convenient for you!
10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
We know ATV rentals inside and out. We have been renting for a long time. We have 10+ years combined rental experience. We have been in the rental business for a number of years—both in Tulum and throughout the Riviera Maya as well (including Playa Del Carmen & Cancun). This is why our customers come back again and again.
NEW ATVs
We offer the newest ATV rental fleet in Tulum. Our ATVs are new and we replace the old ones every other year. Thus, at any given time, our rental ATVs are no older than two years—”brand new” by industry standards. You benefit from this policy by always having good ATVs to rent every time you come to Tulum.
LOCALLY-OWNED BUSINESS
We are a locally-owned business; we are not absentee owners. We live in Tulum and know a lot about the area. We also know a significant amount about the best/worst places to see, and general information that will help keep you both safe and secure while renting an ATV in Tulum.
ABOUT OUR RENTAL ATVs
We often get asked information about our ATVs, so instead of having to wait for a response from us, you can read about our ATVs below:
200cc ATVs
All of our ATVs are 200ccs. This provides the perfect balance between power, economy, and stability. Anything larger and an ATV becomes difficult to handle and expensive to fill with gas. Anything smaller and an ATV doesn’t have the power to move in and out of traffic. 200 CC’s is the perfect combination of the best of both worlds and is a great match for virtually all customers.
Brand New ATVs
We have a two-year rotation policy. This means that all of our ATVs are no older than two years. How do we know that? Because we replace them every two years. By industry standards within the rental market, this is ”brand new.” Whereas the usual life of a rental ATV averages 5 years, ours are no older than 2 years.
Low Miles/Kilometers
As mentioned above, we replace our ATVs every two years. Thus, all of ATVs have unusually low mileage. This means they all retain the famous factory-floor peppiness that older engines no longer possess. With our newer ATVs, you can be sure to get a consistent and predictable power range that makes for an exciting ride.
NOT Marked As Rental ATVs
You don’t need problems with the police while in Mexico. We know and understand that. This is the reason that we don’t mark our ATVs with numbers, bold “RENT ME” letters, or any other significant signs that will give away the fact that you are driving a rental ATV. While most rental companies mark their ATVs for their own convenience, we refuse to make you a target for police bribes. You are welcome!
Familiar Local Mexican Brand ATV
In order to further facilitate the process of helping you blend in, we offer a popular Mexican brand of ATVs. This is the same brand that most of the locals use. You will appear just like everyone else who drives an ATV in Tulum. Again, you are much less likely to get harassed by the police here if you blend in. We help you do exactly that.
1 or 2 Helmets Included w/ATV Rental
Wearing a helmet is mandatory in Mexico. If you are not wearing a helmet, you will immediately be pulled over and fined (forced to pay a bribe, to be precise). Because we realize it’s the law, we provide the helmet free of charge and at absolutely no cost to you. While most other rental outfits charge you a set fee per helmet, we provide two helmets with each ATV rental completely free.
Free Unlimited Mileage
We understand that many of you want to explore all of Tulum (and beyond) on your Tulum ATV rental. Consequently, we do not put any kind of cap or limit on how many miles/kilometers you can travel during your rental period. You are free to cruise as far and as frequently as you like while renting your ATV in Tulum.
ATV PICKUP & DROPOFF POINT
Here is a map that shows where we drop-off & pickup your rental ATV. It is centrally located, easy to find, & conveniently reached by most visitors to the area. If you cannot see the map on this page, you can also click here in order to be taken directly to a map that has a pin of the exact location.

WHY RENT AN ATV IN TULUM?
There are a great many reasons that people rent an ATV in Tulum. Moreover, every person has their own reasons for doing so. Here are the most common reasons why people rent an ATV while on vacation in Tulum, Mexico:
ATVs ARE FUN
The fact of the matter is that ATVs are just plain fun. Riding an ATV is like having your own private roller coaster—without tracks—that will take you wherever you direct it to go. An ATV is like a four-legged horse—but with wheels instead of legs—that is faster, more reliable, and far less drama/emotion. If you want to mix transportation and entertainment, a Tulum ATV rental is the way to go.
JUNGLE ADVENTURE
Another reason people love renting ATVs is because renting an ATV in Tulum is like being on a jungle adventure with your own private transportation. Tulum is both surrounded by and immersed within a tropical jungle. When riding around Tulum on an ATV in Tulum, it oftentimes feels like you’re exploring a recently-settled colony that is begging to be exposed. Riding around town, the hotel zone, and to the famous ruins is a true jungle adventure.
FULLY IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
A Tulum ATV rental is a fully immersive experience. Riding in a rental car could be likened to a visual experience—you drive down the road and react almost exclusively to what you see. With the strong scent of a new car and the AC running full blast, you smell almost nothing outside. Neither do you feel the wind nor appreciate the sounds of the surrounding jungle. However, on a Tulum ATV rental, your olfactory nerve (the nerves that sense smell) will be overloaded with subtle scents of tacos, pizza, sea-salt, etc. The wind will be felt on your face. The sounds of a burgeoning city will be heard loudly and clearly. Your ATV riding time will be fully immersive.
EASY PARKING
Tulum can be busy—very busy. This is especially true during high season, but can also happen year round. Moreover, the most popular places are always busy. Parking can be a real chore in a car. There is just not enough parking space for everyone. However, because ATVs are considered to be in the same class as motorcycles, you can park your Tulum ATV rental in the same parking spots. Needless to say, these parking spaces are almost always closer than parking spaces for cars, trucks, and vans. In fact, in most places it’s almost like having a chauffeur dropping you off at the door wherever you go. Nice, right?
WHERE YOU WANT—WHENEVER YOU WANT
Nobody likes waiting for things. Waiting is really boring. Whether it’s waiting in line at a grocery store, standing in a long line at an amusement park, or waiting for a pizza, waiting for things is just annoying. If you don’t have your own transportation while on vacation in Tulum, you will often find yourself waiting for rides (most likely from notoriously corrupt taxi drivers). With a Tulum ATV rental, you don’t have to wait for anyone; you can go where you want, whenever you want to go there. Very convenient.
BAD ROADS IN TULUM
If you’ve been to Tulum before, you know that the roads can be pretty rough here. In fact, someone could probably make a horror movie about Tulum’s bad roads. A new Netflix series, perhaps? “Tulum Terror: Potholes In Paradise” might be a fitting title. On an ATV, they are not so bad. ATVs are traditionally off-road vehicles, so it’s as if the two were made for each other. In any case, you will find traversing Tulum’s roadways much easier on an ATV than on a motorcycle, scooter, or bike. A Tulum ATV rental is the perfect way to get around Tulum without letting the innumerous potholes get you down.
PLACES TO GO ON A TULUM ATV RENTAL
There are lots of places to see and go on a Tulum ATV rental. A few of the places are listed below, but there are many more than what could possibly be listed here. After spending a few days here, you’ll likely be able to add several other places that you saw or visited to this list. But take a look below to get some solid ideas.
HOTEL ZONE
The hotel zone is the area that runs North/South and parallel to the beach. It (as its name suggests) is home to the most popular and largest hotels in Tulum. It is also the most expensive area of Tulum. Other than the multitude of workers, it is almost exclusively tourists. It offers a very unique vibe that Tulum is famous for. You’ll be cruising this strip in style on your Tulum ATV rental. Just watch out for potholes because there are a LOT of them. Your Tulum ATV rental can handle most of them, but still drive cautiously.
Points of Interest
LOCAL CENOTES
Cenotes are the name given to sinkholes that have filled with water and are now used as local swimholes. They are fun, refreshing, and unique to this area. Consequently, visiting at least one cenote during your trip is a definite “must-do.” Fortunately, there are many cenotes to choose from, so you won’t have any problems finding one. Moreover, riding to a local cenote is easy on a Tulum ATV rental.
Points of Interest
PUBLIC BEACHES
There are a number of beaches in and around Tulum. Unfortunately, most of them do not offer easy access. This is because there are hotels in front of them. However, all beaches in Mexico are public property (by law), so you can stroll as far north or south as you desire. Still, if you want easy access to the public beaches, there are several entry points that you can find on a map. During the high season they are very busy. Luckily, on your Tulum ATV rental parking is a cinch.
Points of Interest
BARS
Many tourists come to Mexico just to party. If you’re one of those people who loves hanging out at bars and pubs, there’s no shortage of them here. From bars in the middle of the jungle, to a wide variety of pubs downtown, you’ll find a place to fit every budget and interest. In addition, because you’ll be out and about on your Tulum ATV rental, you’ll be able to move from bar to bar quickly and freely. Again, parking will be easy, so you won’t have to waste time with cruising the block waiting for a spot to open up.
Points of Interest
RESTAURANTS
Everyone has to eat. Most of us eat too much—especially when on vacation. If you’re a big eater, you are in the right place. Mexican food is world-renowned as some of the most delicious on the planet. Your Tulum ATV rental will give you the opportunity to quickly and easily visit restaurants around the area. How will you know which ones to visit? Let your nose lead the way! No—seriously. You will be surprised at the amazing scents emanating from the plethora of restaurants that you will drive by on your Tulum ATV rental.
Points of Interest
BEACH CLUBS
Tulum is famous for it’s beach clubs. And why not?—a Caribbean locale, exotic people from everywhere, and enough sunshine to keep a proponent of solar energy giddy. This place has all the requirements of the perfect destination to host some of the worlds most famous and exclusive beach clubs. Tulum delivers in regard to beach clubs—the problem is getting to all of them. This is where your Tulum ATV rental really shines. Because you will be both mobile and free to go wherever you want, you can visit as many beach clubs as you can afford. Pure joy.
Points of Interest
SHOPPING
If you’re staying at a vacation rental, you may need to pick up some groceries or alcohol during your trip. In addition, you’ll likely want to bring back some souvenirs for all those friends and family who wanted to go with you (but who were not lucky enough to have the time off work to join you). In any case, your Tulum ATV rental will make getting to the various shopping locations a breeze. As importantly, you’ll be having fun riding your ATV no matter what kind of task you’re trying to complete—even something as boring as grocery shopping!
Points of Interest
DAY TRIPS
The following places are a little too far to drive on your Tulum ATV rental. However, they are perfect places to visit when you want to get out of Tulum and are curious about what lies beyond Tulum’s boundaries. There are several transportation methods available: namely, private or public. The cheapest is via shuttle bus (a.k.a. colectivo). It will only cost you ~$4 USD/per person each way. The other option is hiring private transport such as a taxi or private van. Either way, these are are some great places to visit.

WHAT YOU NEED TO RENT AN ATV IN TULUM
There are several things that you will need in order to rent an ATV. Below is a list of the necessary rental requirements. Read through the list and make sure that you have all of them ready on the day that you come to pick up your ATV. That way there will be no surprises.
18+ YEARS OLD
You must be 18 years old to rent an ATV in Tulum. There are several reasons for this, including safety, ability to enter into a written contract, and just general maturity. Renting an ATV and driving it around Tulum can be dangerous if you’re not paying attention to what you’re doing. If you’re reading this and are under 18, but really want to get an ATV, maybe you can have your mother or father rent an ATV for you and they can let you ride it under their supervision.
VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
In order to rent an ATV in Tulum, you must have a valid driver’s license. You do not need a special endorsement or any other permissions—only a valid driver’s license. In addition, you must carry that license with you at all times while riding your Tulum ATV rental. If you get pulled over by the police while riding around Tulum, the first thing that they will ask you for is your driver’s license, so be sure to have it with you.
BE SOBER
Partying is a way of life in Tulum. Of course there is nothing wrong with that. However, alcohol doesn’t mix with driving an ATV. It is especially important that you are 100% awake, alert, & aware when riding your Tulum ATV rental. Mixing alcohol with driving will only dull your senses and could cause you to take extra risks. They call alcohol “liquid courage” for a reason! Stay as far as you can away from alcohol when renting an ATV in Tulum—and, god forbid, don’t come to meet us drunk. We won’t rent to you if you’re drunk.
PAYPAL RESERVATION DEPOSIT
In order to rent an ATV from us, you will need to make a reservation deposit via PayPal. NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO DO THIS. You can just as easily checkout as a guest. We ask for a reservation deposit in order to hold the ATV for you. If we don’t get a deposit, a large percentage of people don’t show up for their scheduled appointments, and we end up turning away other customers who wanted to rent that scooter. Not good business.
CASH REMAINING BALANCE
The remaining balance (total rental fee minus the reservation deposit) must be paid in cash when you pick up the ATV. We only accept cash because credit cards—especially foreign credit cards denominated in other currencies—are very expensive to process in Mexico. We accept either USD or MXN, so you are fine if you have either. Please make sure that you have cash in hand on your scheduled pickup day.
CASH DAMAGE DEPOSIT
In addition to your rental fee, you will need to provide a damage deposit. This is a partial payment against any damages that you may incur during your Tulum ATV rental period. This is returned to you at the end of your rental period (assuming you have not damaged your ATV in any way). We collect this damage deposit in hopes that our customers will do their best to respect and not abuse our ATVs. Of course, ATVs are meant to be ridden in a different way than, for example, a rental car. However, it is still important that you take care of your ATV when you rent it (refrain from parking in illegal places, keep it in a safe place overnight, don’t get it impounded by the police, etc).
WHAT YOU GET WITH YOUR ATV
You receive several things with your Tulum ATV rental—not only an ATV. Because we want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your ATV rental period, we provide everything that you need. Below is a list of all that you get when renting an ATV in Tulum from us:
☑️ ATV
An ATV rental is the reason you are visiting this site. It’s also exactly what you will get. Our ATVs are no more than two years old. They are 200ccs—and rugged. They all feature both forward and reverse (for those trying moments when you get stuck and can only get out by backing up). They are also street legal—that means there is no need for a dramatic police chase! Lots of fun!
☑️ HELMETS
You receive two helmets with your ATV—one for the driver, and one for a passenger. Wearing a helmet is obligatory in Mexico, so you will need them. This is not a company policy; it’s the law. If a police officer here sees you driving without a helmet—even for a moment—you will receive a fine, and they don’t take credit cards! Cash only. So don’t even think about riding without your helmet because you really don’t have a choice.
☑️ UNLIMITED MILEAGE
You get unlimited mileage with your Tulum ATV rental. We neither restrict how often you ride your rental ATV nor how far you go on it. With that said, we recommend sticking close to town. Although your Tulum ATV rental is quite powerful, it was never designed to keep up with the semi trucks and large tour buses traveling at high speeds on the major freeway that connects Tulum, Playa del Carmen, & Cancun. However, there are plenty of places to drive around Tulum, so don’t worry about getting bored.
☑️ FULL TANK OF GAS
You will receive your Tulum ATV rental with a full tank of gas. We want you to start your rental correctly, so we set you off with a full tank of gasoline. It allows you to get some experience riding before you have to drive into a busy gas station. However, be sure to to return the favor and fill it back up before you give it back to us (or you’ll have to pay a fee).
☑️ LOCAL EXPERTISE
Because we live in and do business around Tulum every day, we have gotten quite used to answering questions about the area. Want to know where to get the best tacos in Tulum? Easy. Best burritos? Ditto. Do you need help finding the best cenote that is reasonably close, yet still beautiful? Just ask us. It’s no problem for us. Our local expertise is something that comes free with each and every Tulum ATV rental.
HOW TO RENT AN ATV IN TULUM
We’ve made it super easy to rent an ATV from us. However, there are certain steps that you must take in order to complete the reservation process. As mentioned above, we operate exclusively online, so it’s necessary for you to contact us via our reservations page.
✅ STEP 1 — FILL OUT RESERVATION FORM
Let us know what dates you want to rent by filling out our reservation form. We ask you for as little information as possible and never share the information you provide. However, we do need to contact you, so make sure you double-check your email address spelling and be sure you give us the country code with your phone number.
STEP 2 — WE VERIFY AVAILABILITY & PRICE
As soon as humanly possible, we will get back to you regarding availability. We will also include a quote regarding the daily ATV rental price. The longer you rent from us, the cheaper your per-day rental fee will be. We will also include any other answers to questions you’ve asked via our reservations form. Simple & fast.
STEP 3 — PAY RESERVATION DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL
In order to lock in your reservation, you will need to pay a reservation deposit through PayPal. This reservation deposit assures us that you are serious about renting. It also guarantees that you have an ATV waiting for you upon arrival. We will not hold an ATV for you without a reservation deposit. From a business perspective, it makes no sense to hold an ATV (and turn away other customers) for someone who “might” show up.
STEP 4 — MEET AT DESIGNATED PICKUP POINT
On your chosen date you will need to pick up your ATV. As mentioned above, we use Starbucks Tulum as our pickup/dropoff location. Why? Because it’s centrally located, everyone knows where it is, & very easy for anyone to find. Also it’s a nice place to hang out and grab a cup of coffee. It has a breezy patio and is air-conditioned for those really hot days.
STEP 5 — DRIVE AWAY ON YOUR TULUM RENTAL ATV
At the time you pick up your ATV, we will provide you with a brief demonstration of how your ATV functions (blinkers, horn, fork lock, headlight, starting the ATV, where you should and should not park, etc). After you sign the contract, you will pay both the remaining balance and the damage deposit. Please remember that we only accept cash for the remaining balance and damage deposit. However, you can pay in either USD or MXN.
